Terms & Conditions

Welcome to SJ Career Consulting. By purchasing or using any services offered by SJ Career Consulting ("the Company"), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
1. Services
SJ Career Consulting provides career document services, including but not limited to:
- Resume Review
- Resume Rewrite
- Master Resume Creation
- Optional add-on services
Each service is customized based on the information provided by the client.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information regarding their education, employment history, skills, certifications, and career goals. Clients are also responsible for reviewing all completed documents before submitting them to employers. SJ Career Consulting is not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client. Delays in providing requested information or responding to communications may result in extended delivery timelines.
3. Payment
All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Full payment is required before work begins unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
4. Turnaround Times
Estimated delivery times begin once all required information and payment have been received. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Timelines may be affected by client response times, revisions, or unforeseen circumstances.
5. Revisions
Services that include revisions include one complimentary revision round if requested within seven (7) days of delivery. A revision includes reasonable edits to wording, formatting, or clarification of existing information.
Requests involving new employment, additional education, significant changes to career direction, or extensive new content may be considered outside the scope of the original service and may require an additional fee.
6. Refund Policy
Due to the personalized nature of career document services, refunds are generally not available once work has begun. If a cancellation request is received before work has started, a refund may be issued at the sole discretion of SJ Career Consulting.
7. No Employment Guarantee
SJ Career Consulting provides professional resume and career document services designed to strengthen job applications. However, interviews, job offers, salary increases, or employment outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Hiring decisions are influenced by many factors beyond the Company's control, including market conditions, employer preferences, qualifications, competition, interview performance, and experience.
8. Confidentiality
Client information is treated as confidential and is used solely for the purpose of providing requested services. SJ Career Consulting will not share personal information with third parties except where required by law. Testimonials, before-and-after samples, or examples of completed work will only be used with the client's permission and will be anonymized unless otherwise agreed.
9. Intellectual Property
The client retains ownership of their personal information and the final career documents prepared specifically for them. SJ Career Consulting retains ownership of its website content, branding, templates, workflows, educational materials, and proprietary formatting methods. These materials may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, or resold without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
The liability of SJ Career Consulting is limited to the amount paid for the specific service purchased. SJ Career Consulting is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of its services or any career documents provided.
11. Right to Refuse Service
SJ Career Consulting reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a client provides false information, behaves abusively, requests fraudulent or misleading content, or otherwise violates these Terms & Conditions.
12. Changes to These Terms
SJ Career Consulting may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this website and will become effective immediately upon publication unless otherwise stated.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
